Fairbanks Curling Club Foundation Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established by the Fairbanks Curling Club Foundation to aid students who are attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks and who act as ambassadors by actively promoting and participating in the sport of curling.

Eligibility:

High school GPA of 3.0 or higher and/or University of Alaska GPA of 2.0 or higher (4.0 scale)

Meet and maintain eligibility standards for UAF

Previous and current curling participation mandatory

Amount:

$500 per semester for full time student. Renewal for 7 semesters as long as eligibility standards are maintained for each school semester.

Application Procedure:

Complete the scholarship application.

Write an essay (maximum 500 words) describing how curling has influenced your life.

Obtain a copy of your high school or college transcripts (whichever is most recent).

Obtain two letters of recommendation from individuals not related to you.

Submit completed application, essay, transcripts, and letters of recommendation to your high school counselor or the Fairbanks Curling Club Foundation no later than April 30.

Selection Process:

The curling club foundation scholarship committee will review completed applications and qualifications of the applicants.
